The Hess Corporation is a leading global and independent energy company, which extracts and produces oil and natural gas from crude oil and it sells refined products, natural gas and electricity. The Hess Corporation operates the Syd Arne platform, one of Denmark’s oil and gas fields.

At Syd Arne in the North Sea, the Compass Group provides services such as contract food service, accomodation, cleaning, reception desk, support for the helicopter deck, office material, working clothes and uniforms.
The offshore industry requires very high security standards. During the five years that the Compass Group has been active on the Syd Arne platform, not one single working hour has been lost because of incidents, and the hygiene and foodstuffs security authorities have not found any faults. But for the Hess Corporation the health aspects are wider than this.
